Poppys Barn opened late 2019, just before Covid 19 affected us all - known as perfect timing!!!!!
Our first "building" was Poppy's (our Chocolate Labrador) Dog Kennel which was built on the front driveway. We're pleased to say we've come a long way since this 'humble abode' and now you too can share the experience and views from Poppy's Barn in a little more luxury than Poppy did when we first moved here!
Poppy’s Barn Tea Rooms provides refreshing premium drinks, freshly prepared foods, delicious home-made cakes, cream teas, afternoon teas, but more importantly, a welcoming space for all you to unwind.
Whether you enjoy breakfasts, light lunches, tasty cakes and some of the best teas and coffees available - we have something for everyone.
So if you're cyling along our country lane, walking along the wonderful footpaths, riding through the rugged bridleways or touring our byways, why not take a break at Poppy's Barn Tea Rooms and soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a break. As we say-
"Treat Yourself, You Deserve It!"
2009 - 2023
Our beautiful founder, forever in our hearts.
Our lead meet-n-greeter, Daisy has taken over from where Poppy left off.
She loves meeting other four legged friends yet welcomes a fuss from two legged friends, adores children (whether to have a play or clear up the crumbs from those in the highchairs!!) and can often be found cooling off in the water during the hot weather!
Our latest addition to our 'meet-n-greet' team.
Netty, the beloved dog of my late dear neighbour, Ros, Netty has settled in well despite sometimes being a little vocal when greeting guests!
Netty can be seen lapping up all the attention from everyone and anyone who wishes to stroke her or have her on their lap!!
An excellent addition to the team here, Amber is our Trainee Manager.
Amber is not only in the kitchen ensuring your food is of the highest standard and quality but also welcomes you with her warm smile and lovely personality
